The Three Requirement of Feedback:
1) Humility
-When you ask for feedback, your admitting your not the best communicator you could be.
2) Trust
-When you ask for feedback, your trusting people with your emotions
3) Invites Criticism


Why is Seeking Feedback Worth It?
-Because what you do really matters

7 Sources of Feedback:
1) Spouse
2) Staff
3) Church Members
4) Un-Churched People
5) Teenagers
6) Community
7) Expert & Professionals

10 Areas to Ask for Specific Improvement:
1) Introduction
2) Illustrations
3) Tension
4) Engagement
5) Diversity
6) Clarity
7) Biblical Faithfulness
8) Rememberability
9) Humor
10) Presentation

PART TWO: CRITICISM

The 3 Filters of Criticism:
1) Fan
2) Foes
3) Friends

FANS:
-Don't know you well enough to provide criticism
-Listening solely to their praises might give you a false sense of reality


FOES:
-Great things will not be accomplished without steadfastness
-Don't be sidetracked by foes
-Don't let your foes make you fell inadequate

FRIEND:
People who know you well and have your best interests in mind sometimes deliver painful truths.  But that truth isn't mean to hurt, its delivered to be medicine.
